bitlbee-common software package provides An IRC to other chat networks gateway (common files/docs), you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bitlbee-common
bitlbee-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bitlbee-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bitlbee-common *
You will get with bitlbee-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
